Proximity to Argentina’s largest known uranium deposits

U3O8 Corp. has an extensive land position adjacent to Argentina’s largest known uranium deposits (the Cerro Solo deposit in Chubut province with a historic resource of 10 million pounds at 0.15% U₃O₈ and the Sierra Pintada deposit in Mendoza Province with a historic resource of 30 million pounds at 0.12% U₃O₈)¹ presently owned and under development by the National Atomic Energy Commission of Argentina (CNEA). The CNEA has identified these two areas – the Cretaceous San Jorge Basin of Chubut Province and the Sierra Pintada Uranium District in Mendoza Province – as having the country’s best uranium discovery potential.

U3O8 Corp’s most advanced properties in Argentina are in Chubut Province, and contain both surficial uranium and sandstone-hosted uranium targets.

Surficial uranium – Laguna Salada is the first project in Argentina to add to our NI 43-101 resource inventory. The Laguna Salada Project hosts surficial uranium-vanadium that lies within three metres from surface. Metallurgical test results show rapid uranium-vanadium extraction using alkaline leaching in the Guanaco area of the deposit, while acid leach was very effective in the Lago Seco area.

Sandstone-hosted uranium – The Cerro Solo Area target lies adjacent to the State-owned Cerro Solo uranium deposit. Scout drilling has intersected significant sandstone-hosted uranium of 1-2 metres at 0.1-0.2% U₃O₈ in two bore holes. Target areas will be refined through IP geophysical surveys and further drilling.

Other properties in Chubut, Mendoza, Salta, Catamarca, San Luis and Santa Cruz provinces constitute grassroots prospects, which are being evaluated and prioritized for further exploration.
