U3O8 Corp’s most advanced properties in Argentina are in Chubut Province, and contain both surficial uranium and sandstone-hosted uranium targets.
Surficial uranium – Laguna Salada is the first project in Argentina that is being readied to add to our resource inventory, and we aim to complete a NI 43-101 resource estimate by the end of 2010. The Laguna Salada Project hosts surficial uranium that occurs over an extensive 30 square kilometre area and lies within three metres from surface. The contained uranium appears to be leachable from the soft gravel.
Sandstone-hosted uranium – The Cerro Solo Area target lies adjacent to the State-owned Cerro Solo uranium deposit. Scout drilling has intersected significant sandstone-hosted uranium of 1-2 metres at 0.1-0.2% U3O8 in two bore holes. Target areas will be refined through IP geophysical surveys and further drilling.
Other properties in Chubut, Mendoza, Salta, Catamarca, San Luis and Santa Cruz provinces constitute grassroots prospects, which are being evaluated and prioritized for further exploration.
